Moving Kitchens explores the notion of spatial typologies in constant movement creating overlaps in cultural dialogues. In this regard restaurants and other food spaces (diner, cafe, grill, cafeteria, café, eatery, tavern, beanery, caff, lunchroom, etc.) of different kind offer insights and experiences from diverse cultures in everyday lives. The identities of these places vary from the almost domestic to the almost generic. Places of producing, consuming and socialising. Commonly spaces that are layered with spatial sequences, configurations, signs, objects—among people of different backgrounds. Take for example the pizzeria that as a place has been interpreted across the world. What does these places across geographical and cultural locations have in common and what do they represent?
